We're Invested in the Individual, Family, and Community
Both families and communities benefit when children living with Autism gain indepenent living skills and can contribute to society. The benefits to society are invaluable: there is less burden on the school system and taxpayers incur less financial responsibility to support adults living with Autism. Individuals living with Autism who receive services can positively contribute to their community.
Bridges works with the University of New Mexico's Center for Development and Disabilities and is a community partner for Camp Rising Sun, a local summer camp for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Bridges also sponsors Autism-related community walks and fundraisers. Bridges' community presence provides opportunities for Bridges' clients to participate in the community and further develop the skills they learn from Bridges' specialists.
